I’ve seen a lot, lived a lot, and been around on four continents. I’ve been conservative and liberal, I voted for Nixon and wrote in Jerry Brown. I’ve hugged a few trees and served my country in the military. Heck, I’ve even been married three times. I’ve been a wheat combine driver, a semi-pro actor, an employment specialist, and industrial trainer. I served my country for twenty-four years in the Air Force and the Army. I even taught school for a while. I’ve got lots of opinions!
Being retired, I have time to think and to put a voice to all the little things I see happening in this great world of ours. While my opinions will not mesh with everyone, I value discussion. Please leave comments, agreeable or disagreeable, just keep them civil and rational. Those of you who are not allowed to inject a comment, please email me at murphylinks2@gmail.com.
Mustang says: After two years of blogging, I’ve deleted the Discussion Page due to lack of discussion. I made a minor change to the Old Fat Golfer page and added a minor note to the Why Me page. Hopefully, during the next year, I can bring this page up to date with some visuals.

Hello my friend!
I am impressed by the breadth and depth of your musings. I hope at some future time to add a comment or two.
Great work and keep on trucking!

Congratulations on being “Retired” — I’ve been too “retarded” in my life to be able to “retire” LOL — just have to - as Charlie says — Keep on Trucking !

Those of us fortunate enough to have retired in good health owe those to come the use of our time to watch the store.
I have recently retired and am happy to find others concerned about the direction of the country.
I have read “It Can’t Happen Here” written in 1935 by Sinclair Lewis and am halfway through “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand. I am not scared, but I’m concerned. I recommend both books strongly.
