I received an email, supposedly from a soldier in Iraq, who states that combat brigades have remained in Iraq despite the President’s assurance that all combat troops have been pulled out. These combat brigades have been re-designated as Advice and Assistance Brigades, but according to the Army Times have pretty much the same mission as before the pullout, i.e. conducting security force (Iraqi Army) assistance.

In line with my previous post, a reader of this blog submitted the following guest blog. Readers who wish to send in a “guest blog” should email it to mustangguest@gmail.com

This Guest wrote:

UNITED STATES SURRENDERS

I have tried very hard since September 11, 2001 to imagine that America’s best days are in front of us, not behind us. However, I no longer cling to that hope. It appears that significant portions of this country have been maliciously occupied by organized foreigners whose only intent is to commit crimes in occupied American space and, if necessary, bring harm to Americans who get in the way, be they citizens or government employees (who are also citizens). I think I have just written a pretty good definition of ‘invasion; ‘ US specific of course.

The federal government’s response has thus far been to warn Americans (by putting up a few signs) that this is happening while advising them to call 911 if they witness anything suspicious; this despite the fact that the local experts on the ground have advised the citizenry and government that the local responders are outgunned, out-manned, and lacking in supplies to counter the invading force.

In the America that I was raised in, this lack of a federal and military effort would have never occurred. In fact, it would have never occurred to anyone at all levels of government to not respond in kind (or one step higher, as needed).

It is with a tear in my eye that I learn more of this invasion and our best response to it: put up a few highway signs. The America I love, and would still fight and die for, is gone. It’s just gone. Historians will point to this time, and this incident (among other recent events), as part of the continuing decline of what was once the shining beacon on this planet for freedom and democracy: the United States of America.

I’ve typed, retyped, and ultimately deleted several sentences to start this paragraph, but I can’t narrow down in words what is going through my mind, my heart, and my star spangled soul…my country is being invaded. And nothing is being done. And I’m not taking that very well. I am frightened, angry, and sad. And troubled.

If we can’t rely on ourselves, who can we rely on?

If the United States can’t protect itself…well, then what?

I fear the consequences of this, I dread the thoughts I’m having, and I am horrified at the mere idea that our light – liberty’s light! – is fading.

We have come face to face with the enemy, and he is us.

My God…what have we done?

Seems to me that the Executive of this beloved country has deliberately, and in cahoots with the dominant party in the national legislature, failed to protect several of the United States, and millions of its citizens, from foreign, criminal invasion.

Watch this video: (previously posted on June 16th, 2010)

In Arizona, 70 or 80 miles north of the Mexican Border, the Bureau of Land Management put up signs warning Americans that it was dangerous to use public lands due to drug and human trafficking and that if they saw anything suspicious, they should call 911 (local authorities). This is the Federal Government response to requests from the State of Arizona that the Feds secure the border. Apparently, by, in effect, ceding US public lands to Mexican drug cartels, the POTUS can say that the borders are more secure than they have ever been.

If they are that secure, why are Americans in danger from Mexican criminals on American public land inside the American border?

I seem to remember that somewhere in the Constitution or other public documents the various states have the responsibility of repelling invasions if the Federal Government is unable or unwilling to do so.

In Article IV, Section 4, of the US Constitution it states: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Seems to me that the Executive of this beloved country has deliberately, and in cahoots with the dominant party in the national legislature, failed to protect several of the United States, and millions of its citizens, from foreign, criminal invasion.

In Article II, Section 4, of the US Constitution it states: The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

I would think that abandonment of US Territory to foreign nationals would fit the definition of a high Misdemeanor, at the very least.

Subject: VA Publishes Final Regulation to Aid Veterans Exposed to Agent Orange

VA Publishes Final Regulation to Aid Veterans Exposed to Agent Orange

VA Health Care and Benefits Provided for Many Vietnam Veterans

WASHINGTON – Veterans exposed to herbicides while serving in Vietnam and other areas will have an easier path to access quality health care and qualify for disability compensation under a final regulation that will be published on August 31, 2010 in the Federal Register by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The new rule expands the list of health problems VA will presume to be related to Agent Orange and other herbicide exposures to add two new conditions and expand one existing category of conditions.

“Last October, based on the requirements of the Agent Orange Act of 1991 and the Institute of Medicine’s 2008 Update on Agent Orange, I determined that the evidence provided was sufficient to award presumptions of service connection for these three additional diseases,” said Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki. “It was the right decision, and the President and I are proud to finally provide this group of Veterans the care and benefits they have long deserved.”

The final regulation follows Shinseki’s determination to expand the list of conditions for which service connection for Vietnam Veterans is presumed. VA is adding Parkinson’s disease and ischemic heart disease and expanding chronic lymphocytic leukemia to include all chronic B cell leukemias, such as hairy cell leukemia.

In practical terms, Veterans who served in Vietnam during the war and who have a “presumed” illness don’t have to prove an association between their medical problems and their military service. By helping Veterans overcome evidentiary requirements that might otherwise present significant challenges, this “presumption” simplifies and speeds up the application process and ensure that Veterans receive the benefits they deserve.

The Secretary’s decision to add these presumptives is based on the latest evidence provided in a 2008 independent study by the Institute of Medicine concerning health problems caused by herbicides like Agent Orange.

Veterans who served in Vietnam anytime during the period beginning January 9, 1962, and ending on May 7, 1975, are presumed to have been exposed to herbicides.

More than 150,000 Veterans are expected to submit Agent Orange claims in the next 12 to 18 months, many of whom are potentially eligible for retroactive disability payments based on past claims. Additionally, VA will review approximately 90,000 previously denied claims by Vietnam Veterans for service connection for these conditions. All those awarded service-connection who are not currently eligible for enrollment into the VA healthcare system will become eligible.

This historic regulation is subject to provisions of the Congressional Review Act that require a 60-day Congressional review period before implementation. After the review period, VA can begin paying benefits for new claims and may award benefits retroactively for earlier periods. For new claims, VA may pay benefits retroactive to the effective date of the regulation or to one year before the date VA receives the application, whichever is later. For pending claims and claims that were previously denied, VA may pay benefits retroactive to the date it received the claim.

VA encourages Vietnam Veterans with these three diseases to submit their applications for access to VA health care and compensation now so the agency can begin development of their claims.

Individuals can go to a website at http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/AO/claimherbicide.htm to get an understanding of how to file a claim for presumptive conditions related to herbicide exposure, as well as what evidence is needed by VA to make a decision about disability compensation or survivors benefits.

Additional information about Agent Orange and VA’s services for Veterans exposed to the chemical is available at www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/agentorange.

The regulation is available on the Office of the Federal Register website at http://www.ofr.gov/.

FLASH!!! After feeling the pressure from various groups, the EPA late this afternoon rejected the 100 page request to ban lead bullets. Read all about it here!

2030 hrs, 27 August ‘10
A bunch of eco groups, with the Center for Biological Diversity in the lead, are petitioning the EPA to ban lead in ammo, shot, and fishing sinkers, claiming the fragmentation of the bullets causes adverse effects in animals eating the carcasses and in humans who consume the flesh. This is an end-run around banning guns because the net effect of banning lead would seriously raise the cost of ammo.

Lisa Jackson, the EPA head, has until October 31st to make up her mind whether to accept the petition or not.

It seems that there are no scientific studies that show that eating meat from hunted animals leads to any kind of lead poisoning or deleterious effects from the ammo. (See 600 years of world history where the lead bullet used for hunting sustained the lives of countless millions.)

A couple of articles you need to see are:

The Weekly Standard article: Environmental Protection Agency Reviewing Petition to Ban Lead Bullets

EPA Considering Ban on Traditional Ammunition — Take Action Now
August 25, 2010
By Larry Keane

It will be interesting to see how the Environment Czar plays into this. Carol Browner, a former head of the EPA, is described by some as: ” Political Radical Former head of EPA - known for anti-business activism. Strong anti-gun ownership.”

The NRA and the National Sports and Shooting Foundation request that you get active and let EPA Director Jackson know how you feel on this petition.

Kosice is a place to spend some time in order to see and learn all that you can. Great sites, scenic trips, and warm, wonderful people at to be expected.

Kosice, Slovakia became our 800th visitor. Kosice, is a city in eastern Slovakia. It is situated on the river Hornád at the eastern reaches of the Slovak Ore Mountains, near the border with Hungary. With a population of nearly 242,000, Košice is the second largest city in Slovakia after Bratislava. Thank you, Wikipedia. A great city, Kosice is a place to spend some time in order to see and learn all that you can. Great sites, scenic trips, and warm, wonderful people at to be expected.

Just missing out at #799 was Jerez de la Frontere. Wikipedia states: “Jerez de la Frontera is a municipality in the province of Cádiz in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southwestern Spain, situated midway between the sea and the mountains. As of 2008, the city, the largest city in the province, had 205,364 inhabitants; it is the fifth largest in Andalusia.”

A step late at #801 was Katmandu, Nepal. “The city stands at an elevation of approximately 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) in the bowl-shaped valley in central Nepal surrounded by four major mountains, namely: Shivapuri, Phulchowki, Nagarjun and Chandragiri. It is inhabited by 671,846 (2001) people.” Thanks again to Wikipedia. Apparently, the main interests to tourists is the valley and the people themselves. It is 77degrees at this writing and if you like high altitude, this may be the place for you.

The 1900th US City to visit mustangrambles is South Pasedena, California. This city of 25,000 people is located at the western end of the San Gabriel Valley, north of the San Rafael Hills, east of the Arroyo Seco seasonal river, and on the south of and adjoining the separate and independent city of Pasadena, California. (thank you widipedia) The Southpas Chamber of Commerce site doesn’t show any events coming up. Must be a slow time in the city.

Coming in close at #1899 was Colonial Heights, Virginia, just north of Petersburg. Wikipedia says that: It is located in the in Tri-Cities area of the Richmond-Petersburg region and is a portion of the Richmond Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Cool enough. Recreation and Parks Dept. has one heckuva webpage showing everything available (including a neat teen club) and times and places etc.

A step too late at #1901 was De Witt, Illinois. De Witt according to Wikipedia is “a village in DeWitt County, Illinois, United States. The population was 188 at the 2000 census. The U.S. Census Bureau and the USGS list the village’s name as De Witt, although the name DeWitt (no space) is used locally and by the U.S. Postal Service.

The village is named for DeWitt Clinton, governor of New York, 1817-1823.”

Philadelphia has begun to tax bloggers as much as $300.00 for the privilege of blogging on the internet. According to an Investors Business Daily editorial, Philadelphia is reaching out to “touch” someone else for tax revenue. So much for freedom of speech.

If you are a repeat offender, who many times will you repeat before some harsher punishment is deemed necessary? What happens if you are such a good "green" person, that you don't use products that are composed of recyclables?

Two years ago, August 8, 2008, I blogged on the Mayor of San Francisco’s plan to fine non-recyclers up to $1000.00. Of course, he would exempt property owners of rental buildings and apartments.

On May 4th of this year, I blogged:

Alexandria, Virginia. They are adding computer chips that will track you recycling habits so they can “educate” you in your civic responsibilities.

Now, in Cleveland we find:

The City of Cleveland is quietly going about issuing trash and recycle bins that will report your trash and recycle use. If you don’t recycle enough items, they will dig through your trash and possibly fine you $100.00.

Questions arise. How long before they begin mandatory “educational” programs? Will attendance at these programs by regarded as lawful or unlawful detainment? If you are a repeat offender, who many times will you repeat before some harsher punishment is deemed necessary? What happens if you are such a good “green” person, that you don’t use products that are composed of recyclables? Do you get a pass or will the robot bins report you anyway?

In April I told you about other forms of control on your life:
# Blackboxes for Autos http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/29/AR2010042904700.html
# National ID Card http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/95235-democrats-spark-alarm-with-call-for-national-id-card
# Mandatory Organ Donation http://wcbstv.com/health/ny.organ.donor.2.1662437.html
# Clean Water http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/12/14/private-property-clean-water-restoration-act/

When and where will the line be drawn for individual liberty? Will the countryside be the last resort for independent and free Americans? Will we be banished from cities and towns, or just rounded up and kept out of the way?

Why are their views on trash better than my views?

Islam is also a theocracy by the institution of ruling bodies of religious clerics representing by Imams, and other ruling religious figures. Examples that readily spring to mind are the government of Iran, and the former Taliban government of Afghanistan.

According to my American Heritage Dictionary, a religion is:

1. The expression of man’s belief in and reverence for a superhuman power recognized as the creator and governor of the universe.

The definition for a Theocracy is:

1. Government by a god regarded as gthe ruling power or by priests or officials claiming divine sanction.

As I read this, Islam is both. The religion part is obvious in the adoration of Allah by Muslims everywhere. Islam is also a theocracy by the institution of ruling bodies of religious clerics representing by Imams, and other ruling religious figures. Examples that readily spring to mind are the government of Iran, and the former Taliban government of Afghanistan. While Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries have seemingly non-religious leaders, it is apparent by their policies that Islam governs many of their policies. The greatest example is when you hear of Muslims wanting to re-establilsh the Caliphate that included all of Spain, north Africa and most of Asia Minor. This Caliphate was not just a civil governing structure, but a religious governing entity that ruled absolutely over its subjects.

If you look at Sharia Law, Muslims claim it to be above any other system of law in any land they inhabit. In fact, they have been demanding that they be allowed to live by Sharia, and not by the local laws of Great Britain, France, The United States, and many other countries. In effect, they are trying to establish their own government inside our national boundaries.

The next question that looms, if Islam is a theocracy, if it is governmental in nature, should it be allowed tax exempt status since it preaches ideological and political tenets in its house of worship?
Should it be allowed to hide behind the “freedom of religion” laws and practices that our other non-political religions enjoy? Or, should there be some way to separate the religious from the theocratic in Islam?

Anyone out there with answer?

Friday night, at a dinner celebrating the start of Ramadan, a month-long Islamic religious observance, President Obama stated:

Obama said that while he understands Ground Zero is “hallowed ground,” he told a group of Muslims that he believes they have “the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in the country.”

“And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances,” he said. “This is America. And our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country and that they will not be treated differently by their government is essential to who we are.”

Well, that was admirably stated, Mr. President, if your commitment was real. Maybe you should step in and say that Americans should be able to wear religious jewelry, post religious pictures and objects at their place of work, and that school children should be able to wear clothing with religious pictures and sayings on them. Apparently, it all works for Islam (Muslims may wear headscarves), but not for Christianity or Judaism.

At best, you are a phony, Mr. President.

Here’s a facebook link that has a short video http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=145345572161897&subj=1511972404 that claims the FBI Office in Phoenix, AZ has issued a guide that describes someone who quotes, mentions, or references the Constitution while talking about our Federal government OR THE UNITED NATIONS should be considered as potential terrorists.

These “terrorists” are possible quite insane, murderous, and should be treated with psychiatric drugs and mind-altering substances in order to make them docile and safe.

While the brochure does first attack “Constitutionalists” under the heading of “Right Wing Extremists”, it is a bit scary to think that those of us who hand out the Constitution to our friends can be snatched up and sent to the funny farm.

If you ever had any doubts about the subtle overthrow of the Constitution, this explains the philosophy of the Democratic Party. This all happened in Hayward, CA, and surprised me by the support of the questioner by the audience. Seems even California has true Americans who have had enough.

Athens, Alabama, located 15 miles south of Tennessee in Limestone County, became the 1800th US city to visit mustangrambles. A town of 19,00, Athens has been basically agricultural in nature but is now growing as an industrial town. A look at their Chamber webpage shows that Friday will host the Tanner Tractor Pull. Hurry and get your tickets!

Just missing out at 1799 was Washington, Pennsylvania. Upcoming events include, oops, that page is not working on their website. You can visit the “The home of David Bradford, leader of the Whiskey Insurrection in 1794″.

A step late and visiting at number 1801 was another Michigan town, Benton. A look at the google search shows that the page listed for Benton mentions two other “Benton, MI” towns. Which is which and which one visited is unknown. Interesting enough, their webpage is hosted by “epodunk“.

It is obvious if a patient is obese, but not if the patient is HIV Positive. Isn't it important for health care providers to know who is HIV Positive and who is not? But if it isn't in the health records, how will they know?

The new “National Coordinator for Health Information Technology”, Dr. David Blumenthal has stated that the new electronic health records that everyone must have by 2014 will not contain the results of positive AIDS tests or abortions.

Interesting that these vital health records will omit certain items that various liberal constituencies consider “sensitive”.

At the same time, everyone of these health records will contain the BMI, or Basic Metabolic Index, of every individual. A high BMI means you are obese. Being obese is indicative of health issues that may arise that could be long term and costly, and therefore of concern. Isn’t AIDS a long term and costly disease and therefore should be in the medical records?

It is obvious if a patient is obese, but not if the patient is HIV Positive. Isn’t it important for health care providers to know who is HIV Positive and who is not? But if it isn’t in the health records, how will they know?

The big point here is why are somethings mandated and some hidden? Obviously, the Office of the
National Coordinator for Health Information Technology is already corrupted by politics. But with this Administration why I am surprised?

The US Army reports that a record number of soldiers committed suicide in the month of June. This continues a trend that has risen appreciably in the last four or five years as the mental strain of service in prolonged wars against shadowy enemies and restrictive rules of fire have played mental havoc with our troops. Too many have been unable to withstand the hardship. Why?

Two questions arise from this.

The Marine Corps suicide rate is much below the Army rate. The only thing I can think of to cause this result is better training and motivation.

Why are our “volunteer” troops so unable to cope with their choice of career? They know going in what it is going to be about. They are trained to kill people and blow up things. They are trained to win. Oh, oh!!

Seems I might be on to something here. It would appear that our policy in Afghanistan as it was in Iraq, is to destroy the enemy and build a stable government. Our army isn’t very good at civilian stuff, we are not really trained that way. In these two areas of operations, we have been very careful not to kill civilians and have thus incurred lots of unnecessary casualties. We succeeded in Iraq (though it remains to be seen how well our success will play after we are gone), but our efforts in Afghanistan really suck. We have never really tried to weed out the bad guys using overwhelming force. Our killer instincts are hampered by our concern for a bunch of opium farmers who provide much of the dope that is ruining America. Soldiers are trained to win, not screw around playing soldier for the press and politicos. Not being allowed to win creates a lot of stress. Our troops are having a hard time handling it. And that brings me to the root problem.

For the last forty years, we have been on a sweety-pie binge in America. Everyone must have their feelings protected. They must be absolutely safe. Hence, no more dodge-ball at school, no more tag, no more keeping score at baseball and soccer games, everyone gets a trophy just for showing up, don’t tease, don’t critique, don’t grade in red pencil, don’t tell him he’s wrong, don’t, don’t, don’t, bullcrap! Most of our kids these days grow up without all the adversity most of us older guys experienced during our youth. We got bloody lips falling down, banged our head without helmets, lost ball games, got picked last, got hit in the head at dodge ball, were too slow to tag the fast kid on the block, and it all made us tougher, able to handle bad things in our lives, made us strive for excellence, and to depend on ourselves and our buddies who were in the same boat as ourselves.

The liberal psychologists and self-help people have ruined two generations or more. We have put skirts on our men.

The following article appeared in the USA Today….see it here.

For vets with PTSD, End of an Unfair Process

By Eric Shinseki

(Eric Shinseki is secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.)

For 38 years, I was privileged to serve the men and women entrusted with our nation’s security. The character of their service is reflected in something called The Soldier’s Creed. Most everyone I have met who is familiar with its four key lines agrees that they define the essence of uniformed service:

            I will always place the mission first;

            I will never accept defeat;

            I will never quit;

I will never leave a fallen comrade.

Four simple, declaratory statements — promises that form the foundation for trust within military formations.

Especially in time of war, those who wear our nation’s uniforms and their families bear incredible burdens for us. A new generation faces the demand for courage, strength, dedication and stamina — as daunting today as it has ever been. Failure is never an option. Our servicemembers have never failed the nation, the mission, or their comrades.

But the toll for this kind of loyalty and dedication is high. Troops are returning with invisible wounds that can be as debilitating as any physical battlefield trauma. As in every conflict in our nation’s history, today’s warriors are suffering emotional injuries just as they do physical ones.

The residual effects of combat manifest themselves in every combatant’s life. You have to be strong to prevail. You must be loved, respected and supported to weather the worst of the storms. You must be patient, and it helps to be lucky. And you must have the strong, unwavering support of the nation that sent you on those missions.

At the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) there is only one goal — to ensure that veterans of every generation receive the best possible health care and the benefits they have earned.

Previously, veterans filing for health care and disability benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) were required to document in detail the causes of their symptoms. These have traditionally been called “stressors.”

The rules stringently required veterans, who served in the combat branches of the military, where the likelihood of direct action against an armed enemy was highest, to provide detailed documentation of those engagements. For those not serving in the combat branches, the burden of proof was even higher. But in either case, these rules were neither fair nor sustainable.

At VA, we’re now moving to treat all veterans equally. Today, VA begins simplifying the process by which veterans with PTSD are able to access health care and receive benefits.

Streamlining this process will help not just the veterans of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, but generations of veterans who have previously “borne the battle” for our nation.

We’re publishing a regulation today in the Federal Register that simplifies the process for claiming service connection for PTSD by reducing the documentation needed for veterans to validate the specifics of place, type and circumstance of incident. From this point forward, VA will not require corroboration of a PTSD stressor related to fear of hostile military or terrorist activity, if a VA doctor confirms a diagnosis of PTSD and the stressful experience recalled by the veteran adequately supports that diagnosis.

This decision to simplify the process has been validated by an Institute of Medicine study, which concluded that service in a war zone is inherently linked to increased risk of PTSD.

As President Obama has said, “Just as we have a solemn responsibility to train and equip our troops before we send them into harm’s way, we have a solemn responsibility to provide our veterans and wounded warriors with the care and benefits they’ve earned when they come home. That is our sacred trust with all who serve — and it doesn’t end when their tour of duty does.”

In Profiles in Courage, President John F. Kennedy, himself a combat veteran, noted, “Without belittling the courage with which men have died, we should not forget those acts of courage with which men … have lived. The courage of life … is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy.”

The courage to deal with the effects of battle is real, and it takes courage and determination to mitigate its effects once we return from operations. It has been so for every generation of warriors.

Simplifying the documentation needed to receive medical care and compensation for service connected to PTSD upholds our commitment to those who protect our freedoms — not just the veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq, but all generations of veterans, who proudly served and sacrificed in their time.

Eric Shinseki is secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Subject: VA Simplifies PTSD Access to Benefits, Care

<<PTSD_Reg_Simplify.doc>> VA Simplifies Access to Health Care and Benefits for Veterans with PTSD

WASHINGTON (July 12, 2010) – Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki announced a critical step forward in providing an easier process for Veterans seeking health care and disability compensation for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), with the publication of a final regulation in the Federal Register.

“This nation has a solemn obligation to the men and women who have honorably served this country and suffer from the often devastating emotional wounds of war,” said Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki. “This final regulation goes a long way to ensure that Veterans receive the benefits and services they need.”

By publishing a final regulation in the Federal Register to simplify the process for a Veteran to claim service connection for PTSD, VA reduces the evidence needed if the trauma claimed by a Veteran is related to fear of hostile military or terrorist activity and is consistent with the places, types, and circumstances of the Veteran’s service.

This science-based regulation relies on evidence that concluded that a Veteran’s deployment to a war zone is linked to an increased risk of PTSD.

Under the new rule, VA would not require corroboration of a stressor related to fear of hostile military or terrorist activity if a VA doctor confirms that the stressful experience recalled by a Veteran adequately supports a diagnosis of PTSD and the Veteran’s symptoms are related to the claimed stressor.

Previously, claims adjudicators were required to corroborate that a non-combat Veteran actually experienced a stressor related to hostile military activity. This final rule simplifies the development that is required for these cases.

VA expects this rulemaking to decrease the time it takes VA to decide access to care and claims falling under the revised criteria. More than 400,000 Veterans currently receiving compensation benefits are service connected for PTSD. Combined with VA’s shorter claims form, VA’s new streamlined, science-based regulation allows for faster and more accurate decisions that also expedite access to medical care and other benefits for Veterans.

PTSD is a medically recognized anxiety disorder that can develop from seeing or experiencing an event that involves actual or threatened death or serious injury to which a person responds with intense fear, helplessness or horror, and is not uncommon among war Veterans.

Disability compensation is a tax-free benefit paid to a Veteran for disabilities that are a result of — or made worse by — injuries or diseases associated with active service.

For additional information, go to www.va.gov or call VA’s toll free benefits number at 1-800-827-1000.

It seems to me that Titles and Honors were forbidden by our original founding fathers. They didn’t like the idea of a separate titled class being above the laws of the land and enjoying benefits above and beyond the common people. Yet we have a group of elected officials who have voted themselves tittles, such as Senator and Congressman, and privileges way beyond those enjoyed by the working stiffs of America. These titles are used even when they are no longer a Congressman etc. Most of us don’t know it, but many of the laws passed that affect us exclude our Congressional representatives… these laws don’t apply to them, i.e., they are above the law.

Here is a good idea for reforming our out-of-control Congress. Don’t know who started it, but it makes a lot of sense, and will bring our elected representatives back down to Earth.

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits.
12 years only, one of the possible options below..

A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all
Americans do.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates
in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the
American people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void
effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with
Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for
themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. Our Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

The Oregon State House of Representatives recently voted to allow religious garb to be worn by teachers. The prime example used was the hijab, or Islamic head scarve. I guess other examples would be the turbans of Sikhs, the yarmulke and prayer sash of Jews, and the robes of Catholic nuns, friars, and priests. Of course, you can’t wear a t-shirt with the American Flag on it on May 5th. How about students wearing a t-shirt with a cross on it? Okay, now? Or is it only for those in positions of power who can proselytize the children?

Interesting in that they used the specter of “religious freedom in the workplace”. Workplace? Is that the place where you cannot display a cross, crucifix, picture of the Virgin Mary, or the Ten Commandments without being hauled before the kangaroo courts for religious intimidation? Sounds like to me that Islam has another major moral victory here. In our intense desire to be liked, a juvenile trait at its best and slobbering subservience at its worst, we are giving up our children, our morals, our beliefs, and the very foundation of our freedoms.

I have news for you, the great Muslim commentator, Tafsir Ibn Kathir stated: …believers are allowed to show friendship (to unbelievers), but never inwardly.” A companion of Mohammed, Abu Darda, said: “We smile in the face of some people (unbelievers) although our hearts curse them.”

How many Muslims hit the streets to protest the World Trade Center bombing, the Fort Hood massacre, the attempted bombing of Times Square, or any other terrorist effort in the western world?
HOW MANY??? None. They hate us, they despise us, and they are attempting to overthrow us using our own weak-willie need to be liked. And, we are welcoming them with open arms!!!

Think, America, think, Europe, how many mosques have been erected, how many areas have we surrendered in our cities, in our countries? When will we realize the need to stop this Islamic tide and reclaim our heritage and raise our children according to our beliefs, not the archaic, two-dimensional backward dust of Islam.

Over the weekend, Grand Haven, MI became the 1700th US City to visit this site. Sleepy Charleston, South Carolina was the 1699th, apparently curiosity overcame gentility and one of them bought a computer. Branson, Missouri must have had a slow night at the Opry houses because someone there logged in as the 1701st visitor.

Grand Haven, also known as Coast Guard City, USA has a lot of recreational activities centered around its west coast of Michigan location. When you look at the pix from the various sites it looks pretty much like Florida with lots of sand beaches, volleyball, sunbathing, charter fishing and lots of connected activities. The only differences you can see are the lack of palm trees, the water is really dark blue, and there are no ‘gators.

On a side note, Michigan, with 82 cities visiting mustangrambles, seems to hit the landmark lottery here pretty often. So far, it has notched visitors:

1700 Grand Haven

1200 Grandville

800 Monroe

WELCOME, GRANDVILLE, MICHIGAN!!

"The Second Amendment -- as every citizen's constitutional right -- is now a real part of American constitutional law.

Here is the “official” NRA statement regarding the recent Supreme Court Ruling that established the 2nd Amendment as the law across the land.

National Rifle Association Hails Historic Victory on
Second Amendment Freedom in McDonald v. City of Chicago
Monday, June 28, 2010

Fairfax, Va. — The National Rifle Association of America today praised the U.S. Supreme Court’s historic decision in another landmark Second Amendment case. In a 5-4 decision, the Court ruled that the Second Amendment applies not just to Washington, D.C. and other federal enclaves, but protects the rights of all Americans throughout the country. The opinion in McDonald v. City of Chicago brings an end to the nearly 30 year-long handgun ban that the city has imposed on its law-abiding citizens.

“This is a landmark decision,” said NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre. “The Second Amendment — as every citizen’s constitutional right — is now a real part of American constitutional law. The NRA will work to ensure this constitutional victory is not transformed into a practical defeat by activist judges defiant city councils or cynical politicians who seek to pervert, reverse or nullify the Supreme Court’s McDonald decision through Byzantine labyrinths of restrictions and regulations that render the Second Amendment inaccessible, unaffordable or otherwise impossible to experience in a practical, reasonable way.”

As a party to the case, the NRA participated in oral arguments before the Court in March. The NRA persuasively argued that the Second Amendment applies to state and local governments through the Fourteenth Amendment and that handgun bans, like those in the City of Chicago and the Village of Oak Park, are unconstitutional under any standard of judicial review. This same view was shared in friend of the court briefs by a bipartisan group of 309 members of Congress from both chambers, 38 state attorneys general, and hundreds of state legislators. Public opinion polls show that it is also shared by the overwhelming majority of the American people.

“This decision makes absolutely clear that the Second Amendment protects the God-given right of self-defense for all law-abiding Americans, period,” said Chris W. Cox, NRA chief lobbyist. “Ironically, while crime in Chicago runs rampant and lawmakers there call on the National Guard for help, Mayor Daley has insisted on leaving the residents of his city defenseless. Today’s opinion puts the law back on the side of the law-abiding. We will be watching closely to make sure that Chicago abides by both the letter and the spirit of the Supreme Court’s decision.”

-NRA-

Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights and sportsmen’s group. Four million members strong, NRA continues its mission to uphold Second Amendment rights and to advocate enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation’s leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the military.

The Supreme Court, by a 5-4 vote, ruled that the 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms applies to all states and cities in the US, that the 2nd Amendment serves as a check against federal, state, and local laws that would decree otherwise.

Two local governments, Chicago and Oak Park, were the last two entities with total bans on handguns.

Click here to read the entire story in the Washington Post.

This decision is going to make any impact of a UN Small Arms Treaty negligible in the US. Any portion of a UN Treaty that would deal with individual ownership or US commercial arms sales would be unconstitutional in the US. No US Senate would dare to pass any UN treaty of this type.

Who would have thought that Congressional oversight would be so effective? This new legislation also totally ignores who or what provides oversight for the idiot elected representatives who are providing the oversight for the organizations and boards that will be providing the oversight of Wall Street.

House and Senate lawmakers have finally come up with a financial regulation bill that pretty much looks like the original Obama request from last year. Of course, it promises new federal boards and regulatory autonomy, government seizure of failing businesses and a bunch of other stuff.

Senator Dodd, the “getting the Hell out of Dodge” Connecticut Senator, put the current Congressional philosophy succinctly when he echoed Pelosi’s “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” when he stated: “No one will know until this is actually in place how it works…”

According to this article in the Washington Post, ”

the legislation would establish broad new oversight of the financial system.

I guess this would mean the same broad oversight that allowed Dodd and Barney Frank the ability to totally screw up the banking system by demanding the edgy, no substance loans that finally crashed our financial system. You know, the one that thought that folks making $40K a year should have a four bedroom, three-car garage, patio, and den with fireplace house that starts at around $300K. Who would have thought that Congressional oversight would be so effective? This new legislation also totally ignores who or what provides oversight for the idiot elected representatives who are providing the oversight for the organizations and boards that will be providing the oversight of Wall Street.

Thanks for nothing, Dodd, and please go home quickly, soon, ASAP, now, you get my drift?

As part of Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki’s effort to break the back of the backlog, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is reducing the paperwork and expediting the process for Veterans seeking compensation for disabilities related to their military service.

I’m posting this VA Announcement in its entirety.

VA Makes Filing Claims Easier and Faster for Veterans

Simpler Forms and New Program Reduce Paperwork and Speed Process

WASHINGTON (June 15, 2010) – As part of Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki’s effort to break the back of the backlog, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is reducing the paperwork and expediting the process for Veterans seeking compensation for disabilities related to their military service.

“These reductions in paperwork, along with other improvements to simplify and speed the claims process, symbolize changes underway to make VA more responsive to Veterans and their families,” said Secretary Shinseki.

VA has shortened application forms to reduce paperwork for Veterans. The new forms, which are being made available on VA’s Web site at www.va.gov/vaforms, include:

A shortened VA Form 21-526 for Veterans applying for the first-time to VA for disability compensation or pension benefits. This form has been cut in half – from 23 to 10 pages. It is immediately available to Veterans via Web download, and will be available through VA’s online claim-filing process later this summer at http://vabenefits.vba.va.gov/vonapp/main.asp

VA Form 21-526b for Veterans seeking increased benefits for conditions already determined by VA to be service-connected. This new form more clearly describes the information needed to support claims for increased benefits.

In order to make the claims process faster, VA has also introduced two new forms for Veterans participating in the Department’s new fully developed claim (FDC) program, which is one of the fastest means to receive a claims decision.

Gathering the information and evidence needed to support a Veteran’s disability claim often takes the largest portion of the processing time. If VA receives all of the available evidence when the claim is submitted, the remaining steps in the claims-decision process can be expedited without compromising quality.

To participate in the FDC program, Veterans should complete and submit an FDC Certification and VA Form 21-526EZ, “Fully Developed Claim (Compensation),” for a compensation claim, or a VA Form 21-527EZ, “Fully Developed Claim (Pension),” for a pension claim.

The forms were designed specifically for the FDC program. These six-page application forms include notification to applicants of all information and evidence necessary to “fully develop” and substantiate their claims. With this notification, Veterans and their representatives can “fully develop” their claims before submission to VA for processing.

Along with the application and certification, Veterans must also submit all relevant and pertinent evidence to “fully develop” their claims. A claim submitted as “fully developed” may still require some additional evidence to be obtained by VA, to include certain federal records and a VA medical examination.

VA provides compensation, pension, education, loan guaranty, vocational rehabilitation, employment, and insurance benefits to Veterans and their families through 57 VA regional offices.

Disability compensation is a tax-free benefit paid to a Veteran for disabilities that are a result of — or made worse by — injuries or diseases that happened while on active duty, active duty for training or inactive duty training. Pension is a benefit paid to wartime Veterans with limited income, and who are permanently and totally disabled or age 65 or older.

For additional information, go to www.va.gov or call VA’s toll free benefits number at 1-800-827-1000.

Showing how on edge our current representatives have become due to the debacle of Obama’s administration, Congressman Bob Etheridge, Democrat-North Carolina, goes beserk and assaults the student who asked the simple question: “Do You Support the Obama Agenda?” A reasonable man, or one who hasn’t been worn to the frazzle by sleepless nights due to thinking about the terrible things he is voting for, would have simply said, “No Comment” and continued walking down the street.

In anyone’s book, this is legal assault by a man who simply went over the edge. I hope the student presses charges. Watch the video.

Dear Mayor Johnson,

I know that I bashed your Olympic preview in China, but please hear me out. Your concern that our President is out of line in bashing Britain may or may not be well-founded. He is deliberately demonizing BP Corporation for their seeming indifference about the oil spill in the Gulf. I feel that you need to be reminded that President Obama bashes any corporation that he can’t control, and that if it were in his power, he would nationalize it and destroy it. I’m not sure that he is bashing the British folk themselves.

You see, his main problem is that he has absolutely no experience dealing with adversity in any form. His whole adult life has been one of protection and guidance by those who carefully prepared him for his current role, that of Progressive Destroyer, He Who spends good solid democracies into oblivion. Because of his lack of experience, he has no inkling of (1) how to deal with real problems, (2) how to be a man and accept responsibility, and (3) how to dynamically attack and solve problems. He is very good, however, at fixing blame, especially on the former President, and in this instance, on a corporation that doesn’t fall within his purview.

This does not excuse the fact that BP constructed or purchased the platform and drilled for the oil without adequate safeguards. This is self-evident. If they had adequate safeguards, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.

I must also apologize for our blundering government in other ways, certainly the barring of possible solutions that work elsewhere in the world but have not been approved by our myopic bureaucracy. It is evident that we are a nation of words and paper, and that currently, action has been relegated to the ash heap. Common sense has been dispensed with because it is not “politically correct”. But, we are who we are, and until the next election, you’re going to have to put up with our incompetence.

In any event, I support your sense of indignation at any slurs that may have been aimed at the British people, for whom I have the greatest respect (other than soccer hooligans).

I wish you well with the Olympics, and I expect the British soccer team will find some suitable “ass” to kick in the near future.

Sincerely,

The Mustang

On their web site they have an events section, and if you look at it, starting on 5 Jun, they have sheep grazing. You can come see their flock of sheep. If that’s not enough excitement, on 11 June you can attend the Drayden Insurance Client Appreciation & Community Fundraiser BBQ. Fort Saskatchewan (which is not located in Saskatchewan at all, but is instead in Alberta Province) is located 15 minutes from Edmonton on the North Saskatchewan River.

Flowery Branch, Georgia became the 1600th US City to visit this site. Flowery Branch is located 40 NE of Atlanta, Georgia and is home to the Atlanta Falcons Football (American Football) team. It is located near enough to Lake Lanier to say it is on the lake, and it seems to have several forward thinking business and civic organizations.

Midvale, Utah just missed being No. 1600 and was the 1599th city to visit this site. Midvale is a “part of Salt Lake City” being a section of the urban sprawl that characterizes most cities these days. It started out as a farming/mining community and seems to be a happy little town. It even boasts a “Return to the Foundation” Church which offers “Faith and Fat Loss”.

Rancho Bernardo, California was just a bit late at No. 1601. It is a planned community north of San Diego. It may even be considered a part of San Diego, but I’ve listed it here because, like Midvale, it is part of the urban sprawl, but keeps its own community flavor.

Few veterans are aware of the Aid and Attendance benefit that may
be available to them through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
For those who qualify, up to $23,396 in annual funding could be
awarded to a veteran or the veteran’s spouse, in cases where the
following conditions are met: (1) the veteran must have 90 days of
active military service, with one day during wartime; (2) any
discharge other than dishonorable; (3) age 65 or older, or
disabled; and (4) a need for assistance in activities of daily
living. Funding for veterans who qualify for Aid and Attendance
has already been set aside by the government, but few veterans
have taken advantage of the benefit because of lack of
information. For more information, go to:

We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements.

The following letter to President Obama is a simple request asking assistance from an American thinking about moving to Mexico.

Dear Mr. Obama:

I’m planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me.

We’re planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we’ll need your help to make a few arrangements.

We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws.

I’m sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I’m on my way over?

Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. Please print all Mexican Government forms in English.

4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English- speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.

5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.

7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for free; both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver’s license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don’t plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won’t make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my housetop, put U.S. flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.

13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.

14. I want to receive free food stamps.

15. Naturally, I’ll expect free rent subsidies.

16. I’ll need income tax credits so that although I don’t pay Mexican taxes, I’ll receive money from the government.

17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Government pays $4,500.00 to help me buy a new car.

18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I’ll get a monthly income in retirement.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S. from Mexico . I am sure that President Calderon won’t mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

Thank you so much for your kind help

Here are a few of his observation on tactics, firearms, self defense and life as we know it in the civilized world. "The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win and cheat if necessary."

Clint Smith, Director of Thunder Ranch, is a drill instructor (Thunder Ranch is a firearms training facility in Arizona ).

Here are a few of his observation on tactics, firearms, self defense and life as we know it in the civilized world.

“The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win and cheat if necessary.”

“Don’t forget, incoming fire has the right of way..”

“Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. You may get killed with your own gun, but he’ll have to beat you to death with it, cause it’s going to be empty.”

“If you’re not shootin’, you should be loadin’. If you’re not loadin’, you should be movin’, if you’re not movin’, someone’s gonna cut your head off and put it on a stick.”

“When you reload in low light encounters, don’t put your flashlight in your back pocket.. If you light yourself up, you’ll look like an angel or the tooth fairy… and you’re gonna be one of ‘em pretty soon.”

“Do something It may be wrong, but do something.”

“Shoot what’s available, as long as it’s available, until something else becomes available.”

“If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That’s ridiculous. If you have a gun, what in the hell do you have to be paranoid for.”

“Don’t shoot fast, unless you also shoot good..”

“You can say ’stop’ or ‘alto’ or use any other word you think will work, but I’ve found that a large bore muzzle pointed at someone’s head is pretty much the universal language.”

“You have the rest of your life to solve your problems.. How long you live depends on how well you do it.”

“You cannot save the planet but you may be able to save yourself and your family.”

“Thunder Ranch will be here as long as you’ll have us or until someone makes us go away, and either way, it will be exciting.”

More Excellent Gun Wisdom…….

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

1. Don’t pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he’ll just kill you.

2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

3. I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy.

4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.

5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him ‘Why do you carry a 45?’ The Ranger responded, ‘Because they don’t make a 46.’

6. An armed man will kill an unarmed man with monotonous regularity.

7. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. ‘Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?’ ‘No ma’am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my rifle.’

8. Beware of the man who only has one gun, because he probably knows how to use it very well.

‘The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.’ G. K. Chesterton

A people that values its privileges above its principles will soon lose both.

“Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not…” - Thomas Jefferson

The interesting question is, if President Obama is so determined to enforce laws which he is obligated by his Oath of Office to enforce, why are our Immigration Laws ignored while our borders are hemorrhaging illegals?

President Obama is his speech declaring war on BP because of the oil spill stated that:

The EPA laws are clear, and we have an obligation to enforce them.

I like the determination, though I would rather it be focused on cleaning up the spill, not fixing the blame which is a Democratic pastime. The interesting question is, if President Obama is so determined to enforce laws which he is obligated by his Oath of Office to enforce, why are our Immigration Laws ignored while our borders are hemorrhaging illegal aliens? I could have sworn that he was obligated to enforce them also. Maybe he doesn’t care about enforcing laws, just pushing away the blame for the oil spill. After all, this could turn out worse than Katrina in the scope of the disaster. At least Katrina was temporary.

I think he knows he and his administration have blown this deal and he is trying to deflect political fallout.

Hillary Clinton And The UN Arms Trade Treaty Rumor

Friday, May 28, 2010

We continue to receive numerous inquiries regarding UN international treaties, and their impact on our Second Amendment rights. The latest rumor making its way around the Internet claims that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton actually signed a UN small arms treaty.

Contrary to this widely circulated e-mail, Hillary Clinton has not signed any small arms treaty. She could not have done so, in fact, because no such treaty has yet been negotiated.

As we noted in an update from last November, the UN Arms Trade Treaty will be drafted between now and 2012, and even if signed, would not take effect in the U.S. until it was ratified by the Senate.

Please rest assured that, as we said in November, NRA will be actively involved in this process and will oppose any treaty that would attempt to impose limits on our Second Amendment rights. In the meantime, we urge gun owners to follow this issue in NRA’s magazines and NRA-ILA’s Grassroots Alerts. We also urge gun owners not to circulate misinformation on this issue.my emphasis

If Hillary really wants to make a difference for the unemployed, she should be going after the administration's need to tax small businesses to such a point that they can't grow and can't hire new employees.

Hillary spoke the other day, and gave her personal opinion that the RICH aren’t paying their fair share of taxes given the rate of unemployment we have today. Now my little rant.

I find this very hypocritical when you see that Hillary is running a campaign to have people donate their money to pay off her campaign debts, even though she and Bill make, what, $29 million a year and could pay it off with minimum lifestyle cutbacks. If she is so worried about the poor who make close to $30,000 who pay no taxes, why is she asking them to help her out?

She says that corporations aren’t paying their fair share, but our corporate taxes are so high that many corporations have moved off-shore, gone to other countries where corporate taxes are less, moved their headquarters and those jobs to foreign tax bases, employed foreign nationals to take the jobs previously done by Americans.

Why don’t people who make $30K pay something in taxes? Three years ago when I was teaching in Florida, with the equivalent of 10 years experience, I was making only $36K and I paid taxes. Those with $30K today should pay something, even it was just enough to let them know that they were doing their part to help America.

If Hillary really wants to make a difference for the unemployed, she should be going after the administration’s need to tax small businesses to such a point that they can’t grow and can’t hire new employees. Nearly all economists agree that your major job growth comes from small businesses, but onerous taxes on health care and other government tax schemes hurt or kill small businesses.

Why do Democrats insist on creating class separation and class envy? Don’t they realize that eventually they may create an environment where there will actually be class warfare? If they keep painting the rich as evil, maybe, maybe… someday, they will be hoisted on their own petard.

Randallstown, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore became the 1500th visitor to mustangrambles. This affluent suburb is named after two pub owners of the 18th Century. It is a busy place with lots of real estate action. Unfortunately, it is hard to get a feel for because all the webpages I looked at have a real aversion to photos. Seems nothing is pretty enough to use as attention grabbers. However, this is probably because someone in charge of webpages just isn’t into pictures but is into information. There is a lot of this, but preponderantly (is that a word) real estate oriented.

However, the 1501st visitor, Post Falls, Idaho, has a eye grabbin’ Chamber of Commerce page that does what it should. It makes you want to visit and to learn more. Good Work, Post Falls! Randallstown, you need to look at what you can do to sell your area!

Gonorrhea Lectim warning from CDC… very important

Very important information has just been made public that I think is something you should all be aware of: Gonorrhea Lectim. The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent strain of this old disease.

The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It’s pronounced “Gonna re-elect ‘im.”
The disease is contracted through dangerous and high-risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008 ….. but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.
It’s sad because it is so easily cured with a new procedure just coming on the market called Vo-tem-out! You take the first dose/step in 2010 and the second dosage in 2012, and simply don’t engage in such behavior again, otherwise it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it.
Several states are already on top of this like Virginia and New Jersey , and now Massachusetts , with many more seeing the writing on the wall. Please pass this important message on to all those bright folk you really care about.

Wish I had thought of this!

A lot of work is going on to clean up the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. BP has even resorted to some chemicals that the US is not too hot about and has asked them to desist. There are other schemes being proposed to clean up the oil such as hair clippings from barber shops and using all the hay from the Southeastern states to soak it up. Human hair doesn’t soak up enough oil, and if you use all that hay what will the horses and cows eat? So those ideas won’t work.

What we need is to use a naturally abundant resource that nobody except eco-freaks care about.

I propose the following:

What really works is to go to the New Orleans landfill, net all the seagulls and take them out to the oil. Everyone knows how birds attract oil. They would soak it up in no time. If that is not enough birds, you can go to all the Gulf landfills and get more. It is easier to pick up the birds than to skim the oil, you use eco-folks to pick them up, they’ll do it for free. All you lose are some garbage picking birds, while the nobler birds of the species continue to beautify our beaches and adorn our automobiles.

Problem solved.

The word is that Hillary Clinton, our dowager Secretary of State, has signed the UN Small Arms Treaty. Don’t know about that being right, but I do know that last Fall she stated that the US would work with the other nations on a Small Arms Treaty.

One thing to remember, if the US does sign this treaty, it will have to be ratified by a 67 member vote in the US Senate before it is effective.

Here’s some things we should all know.

The treaty is, on the surface, needed to make sure that countries are not selling or shipping small arms in quantity to insurgents, rebels, or terrorists. This would keep governments safe and sound, even those that rule by might instead of right. Important to note is the definition of insurgents, rebels, or terrorists (think the British view of our Founding Fathers). Our government has already classified returning veterans, Tea Party activists, and gun owners with such terms.

The US is insisting on a Consensus treaty, that would mean that any one nation would have the right of veto over and of the provisions. All well and good, but really outside the bounds of what should happen; the US should not be a part of this treaty.

No matter how innocuous the Treaty may sound, and how wonderful the world will be when it is implemented. you must remember that the details, the methodology governments will use to enforce it inside their own borders can be abused to the point of complete confiscation of all weapons and prosecution of gun owners.

For the United States to sign and ratify such a treaty would be tantamount to scrapping and trashing the Constitution of the United States. It would subject the American people to laws imposed by non-US governing bodies. Frankly, I don’t want the likes of North Korean, Cuba, Syria, or such others imposing their rules, laws, and values on me, my family or my country. We should never ever surrender any of our National Sovereignty.

Here’s a few links where you can find more information on this Subject.

Article from ResistNet.com on the UN Small Arms Treaty. Interesting attached article in the comments section, an interview with former UN Ambassador Bolton (Bush Administration).
http://www.resistnet.com/profiles/blogs/un-small-arms-treaty

A blogger has done a pretty good job of researching the actual treaty wording and its meaning.
http://fellowshipofminds.wordpress.com/2010/02/09/un-small-arms-treaty-kills-gun-rights/

Here’s an interview with the National Gun Rights Organization who discusses what the treaty is and what it means for Americans.

It appears that our INS doesn't want these figures to come out, or they would have been blasted by everyone on the "closed border" side of the argument.

A tv station in Atlanta, WSB TV, has run a couple of segments on the number of Other Than Mexicans caught crossing our border with Mexico. It is surprising in how many people of Islamic and Arabic extraction come in illegally to our country through our Southern Border.

Check these two links for the full video:

First Segment from WSB TV

Second Segment

It appears that our INS doesn’t want these figures to come out, or they would have been blasted by everyone on the “closed border” side of the argument.

On the lighter side, check out this music video by Ray Stevens.

Support Arizona’s immigration law. Obama swore to uphold the Constitution and he is not. It is his job to enforce the laws we have, not ignore them. He must begin to implement the laws and procedures we have in place.
