Mustang Rambles

It seems that Obama has played golf 24 times since he took office, out of 33-34 weekends, I didn’t look it up exactly. That’s more than George Bush played in three years, but probably a lot less than Ike played in a similar time. The question that plagues me with this, is: with all his travel selling his programs, with all his travel over the world, and with all the parties and goings-on at the White House, how much time is he really spending governing our nation?

I would think that the job would require much more time talking to advisors and searching alternative plans, especially when the economy of the US and the World have tanked, mainly due to our financial failure to give housing loans where they were merited. Let’s not forget, also, the two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, not to mention the belligerent nations of Iran and North Korea.

Of course, he may not have to spend much time on these issues if all the decisions are being made by others, those that tell him what to do and what to say, his puppet masters.

Maybe it was his golf game that made him unaware of the Tea Party participants during the Arpil 15th March on Washington. Only a President who is a liar or an idiot would be unaware of that many people converging on the Capitol steps. Surely, someone on his staff would have mentioned the turnout to him.

While researching this, I came upon this quote in the New Financial Wisdom blog:

Looks like Obama just got sliced with a double-edged sword. If the White House statement is true, then Obama is more clueless than anyone thought. If the statement is not true, then Obama is a liar! Just another lie from an unaccomplished two-bit hack. Either Obama is vastly incompetent, or vastly lying, or both.

My thoughts here must be obvious to anyone with a slightly logical mind.

In any event, time management seems to be a problem with this “unaware” leader of the Free World. I wonder how “unaware” or “out of touch” he will be when the 3 AM call comes.
