If you are following the health care debates and problems, you might start seeing the Left giving up a few items that they “desperately” want as a concession to the conservatives. Don’t believe you are winning.
It’s an old and tried and true method of compromise that you always start asking for more than you really want. You always throw into the pot something that you are quite willing to give up to get the other side to give up something. What you really have to know to win these swap-meets is what is the other side really intent on keeping or doing. If you can figure out that, then you can start putting pressure on them.
Right now, I think that the left is ready to give up the public option in order to get a compromise co-op option or just a watered down government insurance. They figure they can gain control later.
Remember, we lost God in schools and public places over a period of 60-70 years. It is gone. The only religions allowed in school is Islam. The US Army even had to allow Wicca (witch) chaplains, and that was over 20 years ago. The enemies of our country work slow and are very patient.
