Tea Party SNAFU in Providence, Rhode Island

July 12th, 2009 · No Comments

There has been a total blackout on the 4th of July Tea Parties across the US as far as I can tell. Local news didn’t handle it, and apparently, the national need to feed like maggots on Michael Jackson’s corpse is an overwhelming one and little else appears to be news. Myself, his passing was but a mere speck of fly crap on the glass covering the screen of my news radar. BUT, I heard an interesting bit of news that Google doesn’t find.

I heard that the Tea Party organization in Providence, Rhode Island, managed to get themselves included in the 4th of July Parade! Kudos on their initiative. However, according to my source, the Tea Party Organization has been barred from all future 4th of July Parades because they had the audacity to hand out papers during the parade. The papers were copies of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Apparently, this action was considered subversive and detrimental to the political situation in Rhode Island.

This hangs heavy on my heart. Rhode Island was one of the earliest places where true freedom sprang up in America. I had hoped they remembered their founding principles and were fervent in promulgating their belief in freedom and liberty. Apparently, they have caved to the liberal, politically correct, left-speak that floods our countries’ Northeastern and Western states. Tonight, I will put Rhode Island in my prayers and inventory my bullets.

Freedom must be preserved, and it appears that only a blood sacrifice will redeem it. Our country was founded on the bodies and blood of the early patriots. It was preserved by the same in the War of 1812, and massively so in the Civil War. World War I and World War II brought the country together and welded our love of country into a strong, joyous belief in freedom. The same, but brief, outpouring of national pride was evident after 9-11. But we have fallen into a complacent state of mind again. It would seem that Americans are never true believers until we are attacked and American blood is shed. The question is, how do we energize that belief in liberty and freedom when we are being attacked from within and Socialism/Fascism bears the government child that shall mature as “Big Brother”. Was George Orwell off by 25 years?
