Mustang Rambles

John McCain picked political maverick Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska as his running mate, making this the most diversified campaign ever.  This was a shocker, although picking a woman was a possibility for some time.  What we end up with is the Republicans have a white male with tons of experience and a white woman with little experience opposed by the Democratic ticket of a black male with no experience and an old white man with lots of experience.  Both tickets are balanced as to age and experience.  The McCain ticket has the edge in that the woman vice presidential candidate will draw a lot of Democrat women voters who are still upset at Obama’s treatment of Hillary in the VP selection process.

This will be exciting!  The Democrats no longer have the clear edge of breaking barriers in the election process.  I predict that this will be credited as the main reason why McCain wins in November.
